On a sunny day, my photographer (Nikko), designer (Roho) and I drove to the Threadless headquarters and corporate offices located on Madison and Elizabeth St. (Chicago, IL). In the parking lot there was a vintage styled steel-clad RV camper with the Threadless logo prominently on the side. As we approached the building, the gigantic Threadless sign made it clear that we were about to enter one of the most innovative t-shirt companies ever. When we entered the nice sized building we immediately looked up, all three jaws dropped, and nearly in unison, Nikko, Roho, and I said, ‘this is cool!’ Before us was a warehouse with hundreds of t-shirts hanging from the ceiling, a spectacular-sized robot, walls decorated with mural art, and in one corner, a photo shoot where a photographer was snapping photos of a model wearing some of the new t-shirt designs. Within this space, LEARNtheBrand Impact Apparel will make its debut to the world for the first time.
LEARNtheBrand Impact Apparel is pleased to announce that we will be partnering with Threadless, a Chicago-based t-shirt company, online community of artists, and e-commerce website founded in 2000 by Jake Nickell and Jacob DeHart. For the past 15years, Threadless has been committed to supporting the artist and educational community and has collaborated with companies such as Gap, Thermos as well as Dell to share unique artist designs to a wider public.
After having conversations with Jake, the CEO/Co-Founder of Threadless, he invited LEARNtheBrand Impact Apparel to open up an online shop via one of his newest products, the Artist Shops (scheduled to make its official launch mid-October). We thank Threadless for creating and hosting our online store. The partnership with Threadless will allow us to increase the volume and variety of apparel items from t-shirts to hoodies, sweatshirts, phone cases (yes, phone cases), prints and canvases, and even children’s apparel.
Although the official launch for the shop is scheduled for mid-October. We are working with the staff at Threadless to curate a manual shop that will allow us to sell a number of limited edition t-shirts by mid-September. The shop will include eight unique and minimalist t-shirt designs (with a pop of color as accents) that can be dressed up or down for both men and women. We will also have a limited run of our LEARNtheBrand Impact Apparel logo t-shirt as well as our ‘Think Outside the Box’ remix and Red collection.
This is beyond what we could have ever imagined. Stay tuned for the opening of our online store fueled by Threadless.
